Changed cables and now dead
I have a Yamaha G14e that was running fine. I was doing a project to change out all of my cables because they were very old and corroded. I bought 11 brand new cables (heavy duty 2 gauge), and very carefully installed them one by one. I did the battery jumper cables as well as the cables to the motor and solenoid. As soon as I finished, when I turned the key and press the pedal, I did not hear the solenoid "click" and the cart didn't move but I see the controller light go on when I would press the pedal.
I carefully checked everything again, disconnected and reconnected everything and now, the light on my controller won't even come on. Does anyone have any ideas? Does anyone have a diagram of where all the wires should connect? I found the one online but it didn't help me that much. I have 4 things going to the solenoid...On the left post is a 9'' cable going to positive battery post and a red wire going to my charge port... On the right solenoid post, I have a cable going to my controller and to my forward reverse switch. I do see another black cable coming off of my charge port... where does it go? the Red one is going to the solenoid.. |
