Default JK BMS Weirdness

Hello everyone. I have a 48v pack I made out of 16 Eve 3.2v 105ah cells and I am having some weirdness with my 200a JK BMS. Cart is fully charged, 100% on the screen, I drive the cart maybe 1/2 a mile and the readout drops straight to 4%. I have plenty of voltage, all my cells are sitting at 3.55v, I top balanced the batteries before i built the pack and all cells are fine, its just weird. I can still drive the cart once it hits 0% and I just watch the voltage readout to know when I need to get her home.

Anyone ever run into this? And if you did, what was the fix?

Thanks

On my JBD BMS there is an option " reset capacity " , probably something similar on the JK?

Afraid not. I can reset it back to factory though and then just reenter my settings. I do that and the same thing happens. I think I am going to drive the cart for an hour today to drain the batteries and then give it a nice charge.

Are you sure you capacity is set to the correct ah for the cells? and the correct chemistry and amount of cells selected for the pack? and have you fully cycled the battery pack down and recharged so it can "learn" to better estimate capacity?

I built a pack for a friend with the jk bms and it did something similar to what your saying but also changed SOC percentages dramatically by just cycling the output off and on again until the pack seemed to eventually "learn"

Got a screenshot?

Went through this with another member here just a few days ago. Are your cell bus bars/voltage sense leads tight? If the BMS sees cell voltage drop, as will happen if your connections are loose, it will assume you have discharged cells and drop its SOC accordingly. Should torque all connections to around 5-4Nm.

Also, your cells should not be sitting on 3.55v once the charger turns off, they should settle to around 3.3v
