Default Club Car Precedent runs but won't charge

Have an 04-07 model, unsure which exact year as I bought used and serial is missing. 48v 4x12.

Changed the batteries last week to Trojans and the cart runs great. Only issue is it no longer takes a charge after installing the new batteries myself. Worked fine before so I don't think it's an issue with the charger.

Is it possible that I hooked up the batteries in a way that allows the cart to run, but not take a charge? Used new cables and cleaned everything when the battery swap was done, and it runs, so I don't think it's a dirty/bad wire issue.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Did you hook the charge receptacle back up correctly? Need to see pics of your wiring.

Forgive my ignorance but I have no idea what this means. I just took notes/pics of the setup before removing the old ones, then installed the new ones and figured everything was correct when the cart turned on and ran properly.

If you could expand on this for a beginner I'll check when I get home this afternoon and report back.

OBC=On Board Charge Controller. The last negative( The one that comes off the pack and runs to the controller) should run through the OBC.

I see I called it by the wrong name on my original post.

Check the charge receptacle make sure you have the red going to the main positive of the pack and the black running through the OBC (if it has one) and then another black goes to the main negative. If it has a little grey wire on the receptacle check it , that wire corrodes a lot and is the “sense” wire to start the charger. The pack voltage also has to be above 36 or something volts to trigger the charger. Did you run the cart dead after new batteries?

I probably should ask what charger are you using?

I can’t see your pic very well but if your cart is like a 2005. It looks like the pack positive (front batt under the drivers side) is missing a cable. Look for a cable coming from the front end of that middle console. It should be black. I have seen the cable missed as it can be laying down between the batts and that middle cover. The cable is also long enough that I have seen it mistakenly connected to the rear battery.
