I don't know if this makes a difference aside from the other suggestions but it looks like the top left connection in the second picture has the larger lug on top of the smaller lugs. From all I have read it's best to have the larger battery cable on first and the other smaller gauge wires on top of that.

Correction to my earlier post. Worked on a 2006 precedent this weekend. The possible missed cable would be red.

The positive lead from the charge receptacle may be somewhere down between the batteries in La-la land. Find it and hook it up to the Main positive post.
