Butch, from the pictures you sent me, your car appears to be a 36v vehicle. My main question is going to be, why do you need a reducer? You can simply make a 12v series out of 2 batteries and miss a lot of problems.

I was told that the problem with that is the charge/discharge rate on those set would be different from the rest. Simply going on a recomendation of another cart dealer. And yes it is a 36v cart.

That is somewhat true, but not really enough to cause to many problems. It is more likely he was interested in selling a voltage reducer. What accessories are you wanting to run off your car?

I have lights, and have installed a stereo. Haven't thought of much else but maybe some led underbody lights

If you are concerned about overloading two batteries, then put your lights on one 12v set, your stereo on another, and then your underbody lights on the third set, that should spread your load out pretty good.

I haven't seen the converter you have before, contact who sold it to you, they should be able to walk you through it.

Well as an update I called the people I purchased the converter from and they helped with the final steps. The yellow wire is a ground and the blue the hot. Seems to be working fine. Thanks for all the help.
