1978 Caroche Hill Brake Cable
Hey, everyone.
I'm in a bit of a tight spot here. The hill brake cable in the Caroche has frayed, which is preventing the brake from engaging on the driver's side, and caused a bracket to break off on the passenger side from the increased stress. I've fixed the bracket but would really like to completely replace the cable itself to get everything back up to 100% again. Here's the problem - I can't find a replacement hill brake cable anywhere. I've searched online for countless hours and the oldest one I could find was for a 1980, which is a different design. The Caroche has a single cable for both rear wheels that comes up and loops around the end of the mechanical hill brake arm towards the front of the cart. Has anyone else been able to find one of these? I know this is a rare cart and an even more rare part to go be searching for, but I'm hoping that someone out there knows my pain and can point me in the right direction. Thank you! |
