I was talking to one of our local dealers here in town and was telling him of my project. He said that I made a big mistake by not having the original controller rebuilt. That is the reason I ask the pros and cons.

AND I know of no one that completely rebuilds the controller. They only test it and repair what is broken. So in essence, you still have a bunch of old obsolete parts in there that are 80's/90's technology....
