Default 2016 PRECEDENT I2L 4 PASS HF CHG (Speed Adjustment)

Hey all,

I just purchased a 2016 Club Car. The serial number starts with JH which, when I looked up, shows as a PRECEDENT I2L 4 PASS HF CHG. It is a 4 passenger model.

My question is adjusting to a higher speed and how to accomplish that. I'm going to put on some larger rims/tires as a first step. However, I'm not sure if this is the "Excel" model that I've read about which are harder to modify or not. Based on the description it appears it is not, but given the model year I'm not sure.

Any thoughts? Is there a quick way that I can check to see if I can do the magnet upgrade (or any other simple mods)?

I have a 2014 precedent with an ADC 3.3 HP motor. Will the magic magnet work on this model cart? The serial number starts with “JE” and I believe the controller is set to code 4.

How do you do this adjustment? I just a 2016 Precedent trying to make it a bit faster.

Thanks

The speed magnet will not work on your 2016 because it has an incompatible drive system. To speed your cart up, you'll need a motor and/or controller upgrade, or take it to the dealer to have it increased to speed setting 4.
