It's a 48 volt 4 12 volt batteries. The OBC mfd. is a Lester electrical.pn 2666-02.
It also says fused. Also my 12 year old daughter did say she she heard a snap then a chain dragging sound. Keep in mind she is 12.

does the cart do anything? Click? "my wife abruptly stopped" Did she slam on the brakes or did the cart just seize and stop?

look at your battery cables , the snap could be a cable separating from a battery. falling under cart on drive

Alright I found the serial # PQ0908-004843. And in my examination of the car I didn't see any obvious problems. The voltage is 50.2 when you turn on the cart the lights work the horn sounds whenever put in reverse and when you press the gas pedal the only sound you here is the click of the switch on the gas pedal.
Alright talked to the wife again and what happened is wife kids and dog on cart driving girl stands up wife panics hits breaks dog who is in floorboard flies forward. Sounds heard and cart does not move again......my thinking could the dog have hit the gas while she was hitting the break.

One problem is my golf cart is not running at all. And the speed test says make sure it's running and not in speed mode.
