Default What to look for when buying a cart from a fleet of 30?

I'm purchasing a 2007 electric EzGo TXT from an equipment company that has a fleet of 30 of them coming back from a local golf course in Southern Ontario Canada. Aside from appearance / body is there anything I can look at to help narrow down or exclude from picking the right one? I know batteries will be key, I assume they will test and provide %?

Any help would be much appreciated, my last cart I purchased was a 98ClubCar DS from another dealer and unfortunately batteries lasted less than one season in a trailer park.

THANK YOU
John

Don't assume that.... Batteries used in fleet use will likely be toast or near to it in 3 years....

Hi John......considering its an ezgo.....the frame is carbon steel. so get under it and check it for rust. other than that.....ensure it runs.

oh and BTW....Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives’, husbands, girlfriend’s and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Fleet carts are like rental cars. They have been beat up by people that don't give a $%^&. Unless they get new batteries, you can count on them being near the end of their useful life. Factor that in when you consider the price.

I always drive them in figure 8s listening to the rear end for noises or other rattles. If quiet and no rust most everything thing else can be fixed.

Buying from a fleet I would be happy to replace the batteries if I was assured everything else was in very good shape.

I agree with kgsc. If the seller will allow you to test drive, the sounds and feel of the cart may help you decide. I also think luck will play a big part in the deal

I have done well and I have had issues with buying in the past. Usually if I have a problem and he still has some he will let me swap it out..

Hum, I wonder if I could get away with buying another cart? Nah, pretty sure the wife would not go for that, plus where do I put it?
