HD Front Spring ???
Can someone tell me what is the part # for HD front springs for a 1999 Ezgo TXT. Will the ride be to harsh with HD springs? My cart is a hunting cart and some off the terrain is bumping. The front shocks (new) are bottoming out over bumps same as the old ones. Thanks

Re: HD Front Spring ???
You don't say much, other than the year of your cart, but if they are original springs, and the cart is a retired course machine, they are probably long past their prime.
Stock or standard springs will most likely be all you need. This is what I install on my 98. http://www.buggiesunlimited.com/golf...994-20015)/288 |

Re: HD Front Spring ???
My cart is a 1999 TXT with a 6in lift and 23in tires. It seems that H/D front springs for this year cart are hard to find? Not sure if stock springs is good enough or should I buy stock springs and try to add a leaf to it?

Re: HD Front Spring ???
The springs have little to do with most lift kits as in reality, either the axle is dropped or the spindle arm is dropped. All mounting points remain the same.
Think about weight distribution in the cart. All of the weight is behind the front springs. That's why you see HD rears but seldom HD fronts. |

Re: HD Front Spring ???
HI Denny, I have a 97 TXT, did you have to order any hardware or bushings with those front springs? It appears you are satisfied with the ride, also what did you do for the rear? I am planning on putting on a back seat but will mostly use for myself and may be one other front passenger. thanks!

Re: HD Front Spring ???
No, I didn't need anything extra with the new springs. I did, however, replace all four shocks as a part of the original rebuild.
I do not have a back seat, or even a place for anyone to ride on the back so I left the original rear springs in place. They still have an arc and the cart now sits level. If I were to put a rear seat on, I would at least take a close look at how the seat, then a couple of passengers, effected the ride. You can buy coil over shocks and install them as opposed to heavy duty leafs. These are also still available. I used a set of these on a 64 Tbird I had years ago. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...0146&ppt=C0339 |
