Drill into cart body
If I want to drill into the cart body a hole big enough to put in an accessory cigarette plug that will run to my 12 Volt battery, what is the best way to drill this? Is there a certain drill bit or dremel tool?
Can you also use an accessory plug to trickle charge your Accessory Battery? If not a Accessory plug, could keep my little trickle Charger on board and somehow mount the AC plug in some sort of receptacle... Not sure what I am looking for...but it probably exist. Still will need to drill a hole next to my 36v charging receptacle. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: Drill into cart body
You can use something like this to power your on-board mounted charger.

Re: Drill into cart body
Use hole saw drill bits like pictured. If you can drill from the inside out, do that.

Re: Drill into cart body
I'd use a hole saw chucked in an electric drill (like those used to mount lock-sets in doors).

Re: Drill into cart body
I used a step drill. And yes, the socket works great for a trickle charger!

Re: Drill into cart body
Step drill at home depot has one that goes to 1-1/8 inch holes size. That is what I got.
Harbor freight also has one. |

This socket looks good, but requires a 2 in hole... Looking online for a step drill bit that is 2 inches, I have not found.
