check the wiring

check the key switch for continuity
check the micro switches on the f/r switch and the v-glide for continuity
test solenoid
Quote:
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. remove all wires, restorer , and diode from solenoid
test 1
Connect an volt meter, set on continuity, place on the two large terminal studs. The meter should indicate no continuity, Replace the solenoid if continuity is present.
test 2
Using jumper wires attach from main positive and main negative of battery pack to the two small solenoid studs, polarity is not important. You should hear a click as the solenoid engages, and the meter should indicate continuity on the two large terminals. Replace the solenoid if continuity is not present.
if solenoid clicks rapidly solenoid is bad

Thanks for the help. I did check the wiring and found every thing OK> I did find the problem. It was in the micro switch where the F & R is located, replaced that and cart runs like new again. Again, thanks for the help.

Hello, you gave me some good advise about one of my golf cart problems maybe you will be able to help with another cart that I have a problem with. This cart is a club car 36 volt electric. Just changed batteries and now I have no power to head lights or the motor. I have checked the batteries and found them all OK. Does this cart have fusess or a kill switch(Tow)?
