Thank you. I'll have to look into that. I've been going to Conroe Golf Cars which claims to be one of the biggest EZ GO dealers in the country. But they don't sell any used parts.

Very nice work so far. I just put lipstick on a pig compared to what your doing.

There are also several mom and pop shops around that I'd check with. Someone has an old scrapper around that would let you pick the spindle from. Just give it a Google search.

Good luck. I'm subscribed to your thread.

Thanks Ryan4t4. I'll look into those. And I think you did a great job on yours. Love the army theme. I'm sure your father loves it!

I picked up a roll of 4 gauge wire and replaced all of the crappy cables on the cart today. I grabbed an old boat seat and took her for a couple of short rides today. Got some strange looks from people on the boardwalk.

Here's a link to a short video of the maiden voyage:

As of now, I don't have a charger or a charging port. And I'm pretty sure the batteries aren't going to cut it. The seller told me the cart had been sitting outside for a year and a half. I suspect it may have been much longer than that.

I've been borrowing a charger from a friend with the "D" style plug. Since I don't have a port, I have to use jumper cables. It's a bit tricky and I'm sure there is some voltage loss. When hooked up to the charger, I'm reading about 43 volts. Is that considered a reasonable charging voltage for this cart? after about two hours on the charger, the charge meter dropped to zero. I assumed that meant it was indicating a full charge. But I unhooked the charger and then plugged it right back in and the charge indicator kicked right back up and was still showing charging a couple of hours later. I'm not sure what this means.
I'll hook up the DVOM tomorrow and see what the battery voltage is under load.

Okay, last post for the night. There's a pretty loud "whine" coming from the rear end. I suspect that it may have a bad axle bearing. I'm asking anyone familiar with these older carts to play this video and share their thoughts on this sound.
