Re: Decision made. Going ahead with restoration
It's been a while since I posted any updates on the crazy cart project. Thought I'd post some pictures.
Here are some pics of me making a custom Bimini top for the cart. I'm please with how it came out. |

Re: Decision made. Going ahead with restoration
Next, I found a tool box that would fit in the space I had. Also decided that I wanted some way to support the "tailgate" on the box so I bent up an aluminum bumper that doubles as a gate support.
Soon, I'll put on some lighting. And I need to get all new batteries so I can make more than two trips around my marina. |

That top turned out really nice! Neat design. Does it go far enough forward to shade you?

Re: Decision made. Going ahead with restoration
That's a nice looking cart. I was thinking of a top like that for my G1 since I can't find roof struts and a original top. Was going to look at boat parts to make it. Is that what you used ?

Re: Decision made. Going ahead with restoration
Thanks! Glad you like it. Yep, I make custom boat canvas so I used the same hardware as I would for a boat Bimini. I just bent the bows a little narrower to fit the cart.
