Re: New guy looking to buy a used cart-opinions
Thanks. I found that I would have to buy the chip 615518 which from your posts states it will then go 17.5 and the dealer has to connect to it to make it go 19. This chip is about $111.

If you choose to do it yourself, doing the part that will get you up to 17.5 is super easy. Then you got to get it hooked up to a programmer to get that last little bit out of it.

Passkey is on backorder...any other options? Could I swap the controller to the 36v curtis on that accepts the plug in chips? I really dont wanna drop $500 on a programmable controller.

Re: New guy looking to buy a used cart-opinions
Well, you could search for a "speed magnet", may be hard to find. Has to be for your specific motor model. I know a guy who developed a speed magnet for txt48, his company/employer did not wish to sell it, they wanted to sell motors & controllers. He was disappointed :(. He only had 3, he let me at 2 of them, they are long gone. Speed magnet tricks controller into thinking motor is spinning slower than it really is.

If you swapped to a 36v controller on a 48v system you will completely fry the 36v controller so that idea won't work
