Re: Alltrax XCT 500 Amp install
Install complete. Turn run/tow switch to run. Nothing. No status light, no reverse buzzer, no movement. 50.5 volts across pack. Triple checked wiring per diagram. There is one stray wire I can't remember if goes anywhere or not.

Re: Alltrax XCT 500 Amp install
That is the +48v feed to the harness (tow/run switch, OBC, etc...), it i supposed to be connected to pack positive (or solenoid big post on battery side).
If You look at the OLD pack positive cable You removed, the Solenoid side has a combo crimp with a female quick connect that wire was connected to. |

Re: Alltrax XCT 500 Amp install
Anyone have any feedback on the rear dust cover. It seems like however I route the wires to the solenoid they get in the way of the rear cover (motor side of compartment fitting back on). It is looking like I may have to leave it off.

Others have left the cover off. The new Alltrax control is water resistant. Leaving the cover off allows the controller to run cooler.

Re: Alltrax XCT 500 Amp install
The Alltrax controller is pretty large - It fit in my Yamaha drive in the original spot but I had to trim the universal mount that came with it to get things to fit. The 400A solenoid was also much larger than the original. Everything was a tight fit but it works great!

Re: Alltrax XCT 500 Amp install
Sergio - Thank You! That one red wire was all I needed to get this thing going. Install complete. Not thrilled with leaving the rear cover off but I just couldn't get it all to fit. I haven't changed any of the settings yet. First impressions after test drive... ehh. Full throttle from a stop you can definitely feel the torque. Flat ground my top speed went from 20mph to 23mph. Going up a slight incline my top speed went from 16mph to 19mph but it still takes a while to get there.

Pic with controller back in place. Not my idea of a "clean" install but it was as close as I could get it

Re: Alltrax XCT 500 Amp install
Install looks good but I wouldn't feel good about cover being off but that's just me personally. Lots of settings and throttle curves to play with now that you have it running. Feel sure you will like it in the end because I sure do
