Default Can You Tell Me About This Cart ?

I'm a club car guy, know very little about them ,but I know even less about ezgo. Been wanting a limo cart, but you can't find one around here for under
6k.
Found a fixer up, it's over 3 hours away. Before I make the ride I was hoping for some info on this style cart.
The only thing I have on it now, it's an ezgo and it's 48 volts. He does not know if it will run. Doesn't know year, will get me manufacture's code tomorrow. Not running now. It's supposed to be intact, he thinks it needs batteries.
Any info or buying tips would be appreciated.
Thanks, Muddog

With bad batteries you have no real way to know if everything works unless you bring a set. So to me it should be cheap.

If you have some batteries you can bring a set if you want to go to all that effort and time.

$750.00. It's cheap enough for me to ride 4 hrs. one way, if it's what I'm looking for.
I was hoping to get an idea of the drive system it has, I surely don't want another resistor cart. I'm also concerned with rust issues.

ask him if he would flip up the seat and take a picture then you may be able to see what type of drive system and at least see if it is still holding the batteries. wont be as good as looking in person but better than nothing

I'm not sure of the brand,, maybe a STAR but it's sure not an EZ-GO, i owned a star limo few year ago,, and nothing but problem,, for me even 750$ is to expensive..Muddog the best advice i can give you is to stay in the big three (ez-go, club car, yamaha).

Looks like a star or a rough and tough. Could be partial ezgo parts but no guarantee. Could also be series or sepex but wouldn't know that unless you could see under seat.

That was my thought, it doesn't look like an ezgo. I'm partial to club cars, but I'll take an ezgo at the right price. No Stars and I don't care for yamis either.
Waiting to hear from him this morning for more info.
Thanks, Muddog

judging from the emblem on the front cowl I would say that it is a ruff and tuff, cheap chinese knockoff of ezgo. I know people that have had ruff and tuffs and problems were the name of the game. I would stay away from it and look for one of the big 3.
