Soon to have RFID and wireless control. http://www.ebay.com/itm/232072688880...84.m1555.l2649 As of now, these only allow higher speed. You would need to limit speed in controller. Then add switch to select high speed. It could easily be customized to slow cart if enough interest. |

Re: Club Car DS - How to Control Speed
Follow Sergio's advice in post #6 and the link I gave you. It's simple and will only cost $5-10.

Re: Club Car DS - How to Control Speed
That device INWO posted can only allow the cart to go faster, not slower.
Since You already have speed code 4 set, Your cart would likely only go faster down-hill. It would also remove most of the Regen brake. INWO, Your description says 'Stock 4 pole magnet can be changed", the Club Car stock magnets are 8-poles, no biggie since You are just reducing the count. |

Re: Club Car DS - How to Control Speed
4N and 4S I believe is standard. 4ppr in any case. Hall only responds to one pole.
Although untested, MM can be set to a fixed top speed lower than normal. I'll try resetting one to slower and see how it responds. Only one model can do this. It uses an internal clock to set top speed at any point. Another adjustment sets the changeover point. In theory, it could be set to 10mph changeover, then jump to 20mph which would plug. Normal use for this is in cars with speedometer. Speedometer reads correct until top speed, 25mph in Gem Car. Then holds speedometer at 25 while car continues to >40mph. |

Re: Club Car DS - How to Control Speed
On the bench it can be adjusted as low as 10mph.
Unfortunate this model was not designed with switch logic. I would need to hard-wire in-out switch. Not a big issue. Keep in mine that limiting throttle is not a governor, any more than on a gas cart. It will not limit speed only power. |
