Default Tinned Copper cables or not

I was reading an old thread about batteries and somebody posted saying not to use tinned copper cable, but didn't say why.
I've done marine wiring for a long time and never used anything than tinned copper wire, even in high amp circuits.
Is there a reason not to use tinned copper cable in golf carts ?

my thoughts ....
current travels on outside of wire and tinned copper is less conductive than pure copper
that is why welding cable is best

CTD, thanks for the input.
Before I posted this question I did some research to find the answer, I wanted to know to whyfors and couldn't find them. I've not found a good reason other than that.
But if you read this, you'll know that's only true for so long:
https://www.quabbin.com/tech-briefs/tin-vs-bare
It's not about battery cable, but it's all the same.
This is why I have always used tinned copper for marine wiring. It will not degrade as fast. A lot depends on the environment and the quality of the terminal connections, most problems start there and then spread up the cable, but I have seen bare copper wire oxidize it's entire run, every strand was black with watertight connections. Never seen tinned copper do that.
I'm thinking that was the poster's logic, but why not use tin, there's not enough difference in conductivity to matter?

I hope he gets it pretty soon, once we get this cleared up, I've got some questions about battery cable lugs.

Skin effect is the phenomenon that causes AC current to flow through a limited depth of the surface of the conductors. The higher the frequency, the shallower the depth of the conductor is effectively used. Last I checked, our carts are running DC at least to the controller, so no skin effect there. From the controller to motor will depend on the drive type, but it is still not RF where skin effect really comes into play.
