2006 Precedent OBC
I'm doing the 4 12 volt to 6 8 volt convention and have a guestion about the OBC. The OBC in my cart is version 2.0 should I upgrade to a new model? My cat is a 2006 Precedent vin# PQ0620-631298 and the charger is a powerdrive 2 charger

Re: 2006 Precedent OBC
According to Dave at Revolution Golf Cars, the OBC needs to be Version 4.0 to work.
Otherwise the PowerDrive charger will not charge the 6/8's correctly. |

Re: 2006 Precedent OBC
Yes, you should upgrade your OBC to work right. David at Revolution Golf Carts will have the one you need.

Thanks for the referral guys...
Sharse36, Which conversion kit are you using? The OEM conversion kit comes with a new OBC. |

Re: 2006 Precedent OBC
The place that I was going to get the factory conversion kit from told me one price over the phone then when I went to buy it they gave me a price $400 more. So I'm going to do the DIY conversion

Re: 2006 Precedent OBC
I replied to your PM. The 2.05 is absolute JUNK. It was the first OBC they ever used on the Precedent. It was replaced with the 2.06 that wasn't much better. Shortly after, it was replaced with a 3.0 which was slightly better. They seem to have it worked out now. 5.5 is the version you need.
