Marine deep cycle batteries
This may be a dumb question but I was at Walmarts and the marine deep cycle batteries looked like the batteries I now have, same physical size and appearance, I know there must a difference, I would like to know more about it.
thanks. |

Re: Marine deep cycle batteries
Different plates. Not true deep cycle. THey will not last as long and could eventually damage your cart. GOlf cart plates are thicker and built for may recycles. That's how i understand it.

Re: Marine deep cycle batteries
They are a different type of deep cycle, intended for a much lower continuous current draw. While they will look the same, if you weighed them you'd find they have less lead to them than a golf cart specific battery.

Re: Marine deep cycle batteries
Even if it has slightly decreased performance, it's hard to argue with "free"!
