46.28 = totally dead. I believe that is over the minimum voltage for the charger to turn on. I would try individually charging each battery and see if that helps.

Could be the OBC, that is the part that monitors the charge and tells the charger what to do.

I helped my neighbor change one out a month or two ago.

One test I learned from the guys here is to just push the cart back or forward and see if the the reverse buzzer goes off. If it does not that is an indication that the problem is the OBC.

Try a search on OBC, and you will find several posts to help with diagnosis I think.

When is the last time the charger worked?

Could be a bad relay inside the charger:
The DC voltage from the cart energizes the relay inside the charger.
With the Charger not plugged in to AC outlet,
Should hear a click a few seconds
after the charger is plugged into the cart

Best test(s) is to try your charger on another like cart
Or
Another known working charger on your cart

I take it you haven't checked the "Stickies" at the top of this section.

Charger type, name , model ?

Some chargers have an AC circuit breaker (near wher the AC cord goes into the charger)
Some have fuses on the front , behind a clear plastic circle.

Just to cover the basics, good power to the outlet the charger is plugged into?

Thanks for the replies. I have found if i diconnect the hot wire on the batteries and reconnect the charger will come on. Connection is good and clean though. I have tried 2 other known good chargers. I thought the charger would still come to down around 40 volts.

Yeah I think for a 48v system you need around 42 volts for the charger to come on

Disconnecting pack positive resets the OBC.

If the charger works every time after you do that, the OBC is bad.

Like Sergio posted

Sounding like the OBC

The OBC is the brains of the cart/charger charging system

Couple options,
Bypass the OBC & Get a smart charger
Replace the OBC
