If the cart runs at all, it will turn the charger on. 28 volts will turn it on

I had no idea 28 volts would turn on the 48v charger. Is that only the case with a 48v DS with the obc? Because I don't think Yamaha or ezgo 48v chargers will run off 28v, I thought it needed more like 42 volts

My Precedent would not turn the charger on at 40 volts last year.
Had to use an auto charger to charge each one before the Powerdrive would kick on.

well that would make sense if you needed 42 volts to turn most 48v chargers on

I have read several threads where people have used a car charger to bring individual batteries up to a level so that the charger would see enough pack voltage to kick on. I have used jumper cables as you would your car to jump from one 48V pack to another dead pack (18.6V total). The charger came on, I left the jumper cables connected for 5-10 minutes and when I disconnected them from the charged pack, the charger completed a full charge cycle. The owner played 27 holes without issue the next day. Batteries lasted another year.
