It's a joke, I'm sorry.
PMing members who post they need this or that with sales offers is strictly prohibited. Some people do it anyway - I do not. Anything I have to sell is posted on the open forum. Carry on |

Re: Best Upgrades For Old Club Car?
Tom,
I eventually did a kit from Scott on my 94 and very happy with it... went from 11-22mph... I went a little overboard and got the most complete heavy duty kit so that when i upgrade later on I wont have to swap components twice :) Mike |

Re: Best Upgrades For Old Club Car?
So upon inspection, the motor is not marked, at least not anymore. Someone painted over what I assume is the data sticker. I snapped a few shots of the motor and some of the internals.
My best guess is that the motor is original. The forward / Reverse selector has probably been changed as well as what I assume is the reverse solenoid. Thoughts? Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Best Upgrades For Old Club Car?
Everything looks like 36V except maybe the solenoid. Maybe the PO was running 48V through that vglide which makes me surprised that it's not failed on you yet.
Running 48V to that motor, even if it was 36V would've been okay. What kind of speed were you getting when it was running and what kind of charger were you using? Oh yeah, get a solid state conversion from Scott r when you can. You won't believe the difference! |

Speed? I've never measured it. If I had to guess I'd say around 10-15 mph. I've driven plenty of stock golf carts and it didn't seem any slower or faster. For it's age the wiper mechanism seems to be holding up pretty well. Charger is a 48V unit, which is part of the reason I assumed it was a 48V cart. I figured if batteries and charger were 48V then then it was good to go. Oh well, live and learn I guess. It was meant to be a project from the get go so changing stuff out's no big deal. My plan right now is to finish the lift, clean up the wiring and run it like it is for a while. If I kill it then I'll upgrade it as stuff dies. I'm thinking my next upgrade will be a solid state drive with an eye towards an eventual swap to lithium batteries. I'm sure I'll add a few bits and pieces along the way.
