Default Precedent front end “popping”

While at the campground over the weekend the cart started making a popping noise while turning the wheel at slow speeds. I jacked it up and found that the A-arm bushings are non-existent. There is all kinds of slack while the cart is off the ground. I just continued to use it for the week putting around the campground at 5 mph. After getting home I notice that the front end is all out of wack and both wheels are pointing outward with the wheel straight. Finally my question is, was the popping something inside of the steering rack broken and caused the alignment issue or will new bushings and and alignment fix the problem?

Most likely it is all the above. Once that is all repaired, you should be okay.

Replace your bushings and that should take care of all noises from the front end.

Thanks guys. I guess I will try replacing all bushings and alignment first. Then will replace steering rack if needed.

Your rack should be ok. With that much of the geometry off and out, there was little to no correct contact area in and along the rack assembly. Once everything is tight and correct, it should be just like it was....
