With 204AH batteries, starting at 70% SoC, the bulk charge stage ought to last from about 3 to 3.5 hours with the combined absorption charge and finish charge stages lasting about the same length of time, or a total time of 6 to 7 hours, or so, before the DPI goes into float charge.

If it still takes about 12 hours to charge from 70% SoC after the board swap, I'd use two DVM's and compare the voltage between the lead posts of the main positive and negative battery pack terminals and the black and white wires of the DPI charger's output cable where the connect to the control board.

If those two DVM readings are not identical during the bulk charge stage, there is excessive resistance in the cables and connections between the control board and the battery pack's main terminals.

Thanks Johnnie I will check that. I currently started the test charge after a 7 mile run.

When my DPI acted like that it was caused by an out of balance battery, compare all of your individual battery reading and see if they are within a tenth of a volt of each other while charging.

I checked it both places. 5 hrs. Into charge, shows 13 amps and reads 55.5 volts.

I guess my problem wasn't the same. One of my batteries was measuring about 10v while charging. The rest were in the 9v range.

I just checked again all 9.1-9.3. Something still doesn't seem right. It did bulk charge 17 amps 1 hour ,3 hours at 15, now 13 amps. We'll see how it goes, after 11 I'm letting it do whatever, hitting the rack.

7 hours into charge last night still at 13 amps. This morning 8 am, still charging at 4 amps. 52.8 volts at main neg.and pos. terminals. Going to let it finish. Some acid discharge on top batterys.

All terminals good and clean. Readings good. I'll test with hydrometer later. All individuals battery within .02. Will check this again too. I guess it's keep them watered, clean often till readings go south. They have been loaded tested twice by a shop. Not sure what to do know.
