Default Accelerator return spring

My wife made the comment that the accelerator pedal on our 2014 Precedent requires too much effort to hold down. I felt the same way initially. Over time, I have adjusted.

Are there softer springs and/or modifications available?

A weaker spring could be a safety issue. Perhaps a pedal extension. Either a block on top the pedal effectively moving the pedal closer to your wife (if her legs are too short). Or lengthen the pedal itself, creating a longer arm and teach her to use the top of pedal. Longer travel but less required force.

Club Car only offers one return spring for the precedent. If you need more leverage, maybe you could make a longer pedal and bolt it onto the existing one?

Thanks for the replies. I suspect that once I upgrade the motor and controller it will change her perception.
