Default battery cables

Hi all I have been looking/reading other posts , about battery cables

Trying to find out what battery cables to use . I'm putting new trojan batteries t875 in my cart this week and would like to upgrade my cables for a planned motor upgrade. something like the bandit .

Looking for recommendations and ideas on what to get at this point .

Excelene Welding Wire, usually 2awg. Site sponsors have premade kits of these wires. David at Revolution and Scotty at CartsUnlimited

I purchased some PrestoLite 2awg welding cable from a local electrical supply company and made my own. I dry fitted each cable before cutting and crimping so they didn't interfere with fill caps and other cables. The OD of the cable would allow passage through the OBC with a little lubricant.

What was the cost savings going this route vs buying the premade kits?

I have a couple of crimping tools including a big mechanical one but lately I’ve been using a hydraulic tool with replaceable jaws almost exclusively like this one. https://www.amazon.com/Goplus-Hydrau...KBW4913BH7Z5NH
