Default Ezgo rxv solenoid

I’m hooking a voltage reducer up and I was wondering if anyone recommends hooking it up to the solenoid instead of the key switch and if I should hook to solenoid which post should I hook it up too ! Thanks

Put the run/tow switch in tow and turn the keyswitch off/remove the key, before you begin. That is the proper safing procedure for RXV controllers...

Disconnect the +48V cable to the solenoid from the + battery pack terminal. Never mess with the keyswitch wiring. You would install a 1/4" ring terminal onto the voltage reducers +48V input wire, and add it to the top of the stack of wires under the 6mm flange bolt at the B+ terminal on the RXV controller. Messing with the nuts on the solenoid itself risks rotating the solenoid stud and causing damage to the solenoid. Reconnect the +48V solenoid cable to the battery pack +terminal. Do not ruturn the run/tow switch to run until all wiring changes are finished...

You will have to follow the cable from the solenoid. One will go to the batteries, the other will curve down to the controller. The pic is not inclusive enough for me to tell. You want to use the terminal that goes to the controller.

The picture shown here actually has the terminals inverted of what he is showing. Might have actually confused it more. Tried to describe it as simple as could be. Maybe this is a job for the pros?

I've got my controller hooked up to the small terminal....everything works fine. It's a 30 amp controller but I'm pulling very little amperage from it (50W Bluetooth amp and ProLine LED light kit). Any problems ya'll foresee with that setup?
