Default Winter Battery Storage (out of cart)

So I have a Club Car Precedent with the 4x12 batteries. I've got my cart in storage for the winter, but there's no electricity there, so I took the batteries out and have them in my garage.

What do I need to do to keep them in good shape over the winter? Do I just hook a regular 12v trickle charger up to each one for a while, cycling through them? Do I hook them up in parallel and just charge them all at the same time?

Thanks for any suggestions or pointers.

which ever way you go make sure they get fully charged and check water after full charge is completed always store Batteries fully charged in a cold climate

I suggest getting one of these:

They go for about half list price at most places.

If you have them fully charged, a battery tender may be enough to keep them charged in parallel with a trickler. Just have to test it and see. If not, once a month or so charge each of them to top them off.

with 4x12 i'd just use four $4 harbor fright battery float charger
i use one on my hotrod and mower every winter
i did find a brand name battery tender on sale for $19 last year
still waiting on the hf charger to go bad before taking it out of the box

they're $9.99 right now but often go on sale for $4

I've used the HF version, and boiled batteries with them. YMMV.

Years ago my Son In Law gave me a Horror Freight battery tender. Come home from work some 4 or more weeks later only to find the battery completely flat line. The charger had shorted out and completely drained the battery of ALL voltage...
