Having fun - spending money
so, new to this golf car hobby ...and while I bought an older PDS, the previous owner had already done many of the things I would have wanted to do to it.
lift kit nice mags and knobbies full length roof upgraded seats including folddown rear arm rests in rear with cup holders even! retractable seat belts for the grandkids head/tail lights chrome bumpers front/rear/steering column dashboard kenwood radio system full wide mirror folddown full windshield etc. controller freedom "chip" jumper and yet.. I'm finding things to spend money on.. underbody lighting LED light bar upgrading controller/solenoid having just been to the local state park for a halloween weekend.. got to seee folks riding with totally tricked out hunting rigs and folks that looked like they bought and ol 1990s cart straight out of a golf course and hadn't touched it a lick in 25 years..yet their still running just fine. but I'm in that 80% range...way more already done to my cart than a lot that I saw...but now that I know what I'm looking at, suspension etc.. I can tell some guys have defintely spent more than me |

Re: Having fun - spending money
Your cart has gotten all of the upgrades to make it comfortable and pretty. Now it's time for performance upgrades.
It never ends. Once you've done everything you can with it, it's time to get another and start over. |

funny..yep...figured that..I had a price point (of pain) to start with on this one... I wasn't expecting it to come with so many upgrades already done...and for it to look as sharp as it does..so I am pleased.
I was also pleasantly surprised that in it's original equipment controller/motor, that even lifted with the large knobbies..that it managed to haul 3 adults, and a couple kids piled in up a hill that would make me huff n puff walking with a pack (I'm 62). so I'm definitely looking forward to adding some torque..and gotta do something about the lousy brakes...I guess going disc, since the reading these forums tells me that the EZGO std drum brakes are about the worst out there...it'll stop quick enough, but you best be ready to stand on it...and anticipate the need to stop by slowing down. anyway...all fun and a very nice accessory to have at the campground this past week shuttling family from and to the parking lot. |

My brakes will lock 'em up, with stock tires, at 30+ mph with four adults. Larger tires may take a little more, but you can adjust them to work pretty good.
