2003 ezgo txt 36v charging at 50v??

As the title states, I am seeing at times 50v when charging. I am using a new 21 Amp Lester Electric D36 602718 charger with 2 year old batteries. Is that normal? Before I bought this charger I would typically see 42v but that charger died on me. I have been using this charger for 5 months now, the carts runs great and holds a charge as it would normally. thanks!

That's pretty high, but possible if the charger is a DV/dt charger.

It is a DV/dt charger.

Lester likes to set the cut off pretty high. My 48v Lester brings the pack to 65v.
I contacted Trojan about the 65v finish and they said that the 2.71 volts per cell (vpc) was okay with their batteries.

50v divided by 18 cells is 2.71 vpc

FWIW: The voltage range listed on Trojan's FLA charging profile is from 2.45VPC to 2.79VPC so:

36V pack = 44.1V to 50.22V
42V pack = 51.345V to 58.59V
48V pack = 58.8V to 66.96V
