Based on what you did, I'd suspect the switch(es). Usually if a controller dies, it dies. Also, since it used to go only in reverse, then work in both R and F, now just forward...

EDIT:
Or, a bad connector either at the switch(es) or at the controller. Simple continuity test will tell which switch and/or connector is bad.

You do know what a continuity test is? Google it if not. I'm crashin', but since it's the weekend, I figured I'd give you something to play with.

Watch a short video on Carts Unlimited for help with the multi-meter test functions.

If you want to skip ahead to continuity testing go to 2:45

I got set up to do my continuity test and this little bugger poped off.

Assume I need a new F/R switch

Can someone help advise me on what I should get, just assume upgrade.

I'd say you likely found your intermittent problem. You can probably get the exact model number from the Parts Manual found in the stickies.

Unlike series carts, there's no real "upgrade", but if one microswitch is bad, it probably wouldn't hurt to replace them all. No need to replace the FNR.

Those are DCS (not series) F&R micro switches.
There is a right and left, easily identified by their different colored wires.
Discontinued but still available on ebay etc. If you have no luck finding them, hit me up there may be some still hanging around the shop?

Part number 73194G01 and they both are the same. If you can’t find them from the sponsors ezgo has them listed in stock. If you had reverse only I’m guessing the reverse switch is stuck closed or the controller is shot. In neutral both switches are open, in forward one will be closed and in reverse both will be closed. If I remember right the forward switch is on the driver side. Check the puck to be sure. If f1 and f2 are in there original location, driver side switch is closed or wired closed and passenger side is disconnected then you should have forward. If not chances are the controller is toast.

His sounds like controller is OK, if you follow the thread?

Unless I missed it he only got forward after swapping f1 and f2 and then both worked for a short time then the forward circuit failed again. DCS circuit is pretty simple. One switch closed forward, 2 switches closed reverse. Forward/run switch closes on both forward and reverse. If it fails the cart won’t move.
