Update: My charger stays on and will not turn off. The water levels are fine and I've actually tried 2 different chargers. When I pull the charger off and check voltage it reads around 53v. I haven't been able to leave the charger on longer than a few hours as my wife doesn't want me to leave it overnight but I can't really blame her because they sound like they're boiling the entire time.

Should I just let it keep going? Any idea why the charger doesn't turn off. Thank you for all the help!

What is pack voltage after batteries sit for 8 hours after charging? Also each batteries voltage.
What is specific gravity of each batttery after that time.
These readings will help determine if you have battery or charger isssue.

Year/brand of batteries? After 6-8 years for a decent brand they're End of Life. If they're some crap brand like Rural King/Duracell/Super-Spark/Econo-Lite, etc replace them with decent batteries.

What charger do you have? You might not be letting it complete the charging cycle, if it's not it you may be doing more harm than good to the batteries.
