Recheck your cables, the reversing contactor is not wired correctly according to your labels.

You also have to be mindful of the voltage potential of the reversing contactor terminal with the "+" designation, those two terminals connected by the buss-bar need to go to the highest potential connection when using a magnetic blowout contactor.

My mistake. A1 that I labeled is actually going to B+ on the controller.

The input sides of the contractors both have pack voltage when solenoid clicks. Actually whichever side is activated by the switch. They both do not have power. Power from the positive on the solenoid goes to the center pin of the fnr switch. Then one lead goes to the positive side the other to the reverse side.

That diagram is not correct for a Reversing Contactor with Magnetic Blowouts, Cables #3 and #4 need to be reversed to correct the polarity.

The way it is wired now the Magnetic Blowout housing will be attracting any arc formed during a contact break operation into the center of the contacts where the damage will compound with use.

Once You switch #3 and #4 You will also need to switch Contactor cables #5 and #8 (S1 and S2) to keep the motor rotation the same as You have now.

Checked voltages at M-
Forward when solenoid clicks. 37v
Reverse 2v
Moved the pedal a few times
Reverse went to 37v and works as it should.
Could this be the controller?

This is weird because it has worked great for the few times we rode it around.

The diagram came from Scottyb with the kit.

Sorry, but wired that way it will reduce the life of the Contactor since it is not designed to work that way.

When the contacts start to stick it will create intermittent issues.

Double check your wiring on the FNR switch and reversing Contactor looking for loose connections.

ScottyB, I did not want my post to sound negative, but I think all your Reverse Contactors are now fitted with Magnetic Blowouts and that schematic did not get updated.

The S1 and S2 don't need to be changed since that only affects which side of the Reversing Contactor is Forward and that is easily resolved at the FNR.

The B+ and A2 cables should be changed to make it compatible with Magnetic Blowouts or not Reverse Contactors.

Here is how I have my reversing contactor hooked up. Hope it helps.

With a series drive, if forward or reverse works normally, but not the other, the controller is good.

Measuring from B- to M- is measuring the voltage drop across the MOSFETs, which should be an OPEN when pedal is pushed just far enough for solenoid to click and a SHORT when pedal is pushed to floor, so you ought to measure full battery pack voltage when solenoid clicks and 0V when pedal is on floor, regardless whether F or R is selected.

The 2V highlighted in red indicates the battery voltage isn't getting through the F/R contactor when R is selected.

My knowledge of F/R contactors is limited, so I'll defer to others.
