I just did the same install on an 08 txt. Did you use the wiring diagram on page 20? Do you get pack voltage at the pos and neg wires at the reverse solenoid with the rocker switch in R and the pedal just pushed enough to get the click?

I installed it as per the sw202 diagram (posted earlier). It is currently working. It has only been in the cart a week or two. Barely used at all. Going to wait and see if it acts up again and I will swap the B+, A1, A2 leads around as suggested. I may just swap them around anyways. Spent lasnight adding a radio and relocating my lighting switchs.

Sergio is correct. The diagram you posted does need to be updated. Swap your cables as he suggested. I do not think that is the cause of the original complaint. Make sure the switch has power and is sending the activation (+) to the reverse side coil when the cart will not go.

I switch the three wires around. So far it is working correctly. If you don't think that is the cause, what would cause the issue? I don't want to be riding around not trusting this setup? I did tighten the connector that goes to the + side of the contactor on the reverse side (the one that has the orange wire and the wire from the switch). I would get pack voltage at the contactor until the solenoid clicked, then it would drop to 2v. That only happened in reverse. Forward worked as designed.

It does sound like a bad connection, how did you tighten the connector above?

Was it on the Reverse Contactor?

It was on the reverse contactor (coil part). It was a spade connector with 2 male ends. Slips on the + and allows you to connect 2 wires to that spade (orange wire and reverse from switch). I just pinched the ends so it would have more friction when sliding onto the spade.

If that connection was loose it could certainly have caused your symptoms.

It is a very flimsy connector. If it becomes loose again, I will just combine both wires in one spade connector and that will eliminate that issue.
It was still acting up even after I tightened that connection.

I wired the same components on my cart almost 2 years ago per the diagram. I’ve had intermittent problems exactly like bondsman. I swapped cables as suggested and now I’m having intermittent problems with Forward....frustrating.
