So I got a new set of Trojans. Maybe I was expecting more, but the cart is still a dog going uphill. I know series carts do that, but I figured going to 48v would make more of a difference. For whatever reason I cant get the alltrax toolkit to actually save the log file, but I noticed when pulling hills motor amps are only about 60-70. Also the controller is only showing battery voltage at ~48v when fully charged. Battery voltage measured by the battery gauge is around 51.9v fully charged and very close to that with a cheap voltmeter. I'm running 2awg cables.

Honestly, I was little disappointed on the hills after my conversion from 36v to 48v and the Alltrax SR48500. But in reality, I was probably getting 6 mph uphill before, and the new setup was getting closer to 9mph so I guess the results are what you would expect.

Next thing I can look at is motor

Going from 36V to 48V increase both torque and speed by 33.3% across the entire RPM spectrum of the motor, so whatever your uphill speed was with a 36V battery pack, it ought to be 1/3 faster with a 48V battery pack. In other words, if it was doing 9MPH, then it ought to now do 12MPH going up the same hill with the same weight onboard.

In addition, both the motor and amp delivery system are more efficient at 48V than they are at 36V, the actual gain may be slightly more than 1/3.

You have to "Stop" recording the data log prior to shutting down Toolkit or disconnecting the USB cable or the log file is not saved.

The 60-70 amps being drawn while on the hill, is that battery amps or motor amps? (Motor amps will be higher unless the throttle is at 100%)

The voltage shown on the monitor screen will be less than the battery pack voltage until the solenoid clicks, then they ought to be the same.

Also, new batteries only have about 75% of their rated capacity until they have been broken in, and they are rated at 80°F, so if they are cooler than that, they will have less capacity and performance.
