newbie? 92 ds jumps in forward
I just got a 92 ds 36v. Cart would only run in reverse. Replaced batteries now its working properly Went for test ride and the wires to the motor seemed to be quite warm almost hot. Also when I put it in forward it tries to move forward without touching the pedal at all,is that normal. Seemed to run good hit 16 mph on my phone gps. Going to check and clean all connections hoping thats whats creating the heat in the wires.

Is this a resistor cart? (Identifiable by large wire coils behind the batteries.) If it drives as soon as you put it in forward, your main solenoid is likely welded shut and needing to be replaced.

Yes it’s a resistor cart. I’ll have to check the solenoid.
