SOC meter shows empty
I just joined but am a frequent reader. This site is great and a lot of you have already been of enormous help, so thank you. I've searched for this specific issue but couldn't find an existing thread.
I have a 2016 RXV Freedom (48v) with a factory SOC meter. I know those meters aren't great and the consensus is to replace them but my carts are fleet carts and aftermarket SOC meters are not an option for me. My issue is that the SOC meter shows no voltage, but it's getting power because the "low charge" warning light come on. Batteries are new and their surface voltage reads normally, both across the pack and individually. The charge cycle seems normal. I've swapped the meter itself, no luck, same read. I have taken the battery pack out of circuit and then reconnected power. I've also removed the meter, gone through a charge cycle, let the cart sit for an hour and then reconnected the meter. I've checked as much of the wire assembly as I can without ripping the whole cart apart and there are no loose connections or obvious damage. The cart drives fine. There are no active faults on the handheld. My controller has given me two faults over the past day or so since I cleared them. An HPD fault, which I can't imagine is related, and a controller overcharge fault, which is not a common fault for the fleet. All I can think of is an issue in the controller itself but I'm not sure how to attack that with a dealer level handheld. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: SOC meter shows empty
Ok, can you find the SOC parameter in the handheld? It should be somewhat close to what the dash meter reads.
Should be under "monitor-battery". |

Re: SOC meter shows empty
Well, I guess I'll have to look more into "just what menu branch" it is, sorry. I've not touched a "level 3" in a long time (only use level 4 handsets). Not being sarcastic at all either. I'm just not sure, and I did "guess" the name of the menu out of mistaken memory.
