Default Dual F/R switch ‘97 EZGO Series cart??

I’ve never seen anything like this before...could someone elaborate on what in the world this mess is? The motor has (2) extra connections on it and I didn’t even know that was possible
possible.

I’ll be waiting to hear what the experts say, but I wonder if this is a switch to go from torque to speed. My only reason for saying that is my emp motor has that capability (it might be that all series motors do, if configured properly?). There was an option to run the cables for one or the other, or purchase an f/r type mechanism to switch back and forth.

Cant wait to hear the answer

2 speed motor looks to be emp. Switch is probably for a contactor to switch between the two.

Go search for emp motors switchable on google. One way is speed, the other is torque.
