Default what would be the downside of not having the speed sensor hooked up on a plum quick

motor until my new connector comes in? does the controller limit the RPM until it sees the sensor? does it disable it all together?

TXT500/400 doesn't tell me what controller you have, but the FN2 points towards Alltrax.

If you have an Alltrax XCT controller, then you'll get reduced performance. Mostly, the top speed will be down by a few MPH.

Be sure to update the field map in the XCT to match the new motor.

Contact PQ, or Alltrax, or the vendor you got the XCT from. It will be a .txt file that they'll email to you and you'll have to load into the XCT via a laptop or other device. (How to instructions in the Toolkit manual)

The field maps are motor specific, so have the motor information handy when you call them.
