2003 Club Car Ds
Customer brought in this cart 2003 Club Car Ds. No Batts been sitting up a while. Problem is when rear is jacked up you can rotate wheels from each side of cart. Rotate driver side forward and passenger moves backwards. Same thing when moving on the passenger side. Wheels rotate forwards or backwards each side no problem. HOWEVER when cart is on ground rear end locks up has to be dragged forward or backwards. Differential problem? Have not tested motor yet, I will when this problem is corrected.

Wheels turning opposite directions "off the ground " is normal. Gears in the differential are turning as they should. Sounds like the motor itself is stuck.

Without batteries are you pushing the cart with all wheels on the ground? The controller has an anti-roll away mode that will feel like the brakes are applied. Do you have a tow-run switch?

Seized motor. I had a flood cart like that.
Remove the motor and I’ll bet it pushes smooth as butter |
