DS brake cable extension bracket

I see these small L brackets listed for lifted carts to extend the cable a small amount. Do they work? But new cables?

Cables are pretty stretched with a 6” lift.

I've not seen the brackets you speak of. Being a penny pincher as well as enjoying tinkering, I went with the brake drum swap and flip. This thread will tell you all you need to know about it.
