Default 1996 DS motor terminal ID

I have a 1996 DS I am working on. I got the cart with no wiring basically. Rolling chassis. So I have gathered my parts to convert to a solid state, and have everything I need. However The motor I wanted wont work since the original is a male spline. So I sanded everything down and could not find any stamps. I just need to identify what studs are A! And A2 which I know are the brushed and S1 and S2 since they are on the side of the motor not at the end.

Doesn't matter which is which really. If it goes backwards when you have the cart in forwards, reverse either A1 and A2 or S1 and S2.

Nope. Reversing the "Series" field or the Armature connections will reverse motor direction.

There’s about a dozen ways to wire a series motor that it will still work.
Your A1 and A2 terminals are the ones on the silver end cap.
The S1 and S2 terminals are on the black case section.

That axle and motor are way older than 1996, so even if the cart is a 96 those are transplants from a much older cart. More like 1986, but possibly older than that.
