Did I just buy a cart that is too old?
Bought an 89' ezgo 36v freedom today for $3200. It's got brand new batteries and a fold down rear seat, but basically everything else stock. I bought it thinking that I can buy a 6" lift and other cool accessories, but everything I want is for 94' and newer. Is there any 6" lifts out there? Or should I just sell it and look for something newer?

Did you check Ebay for the lift kit ? That's usually the best place for older cart accessories.

Re: Did I just buy a cart that is too old?
I bought a '91 EZGO Marathon "Freedom" and have completely rebuilt it. Upgraded from 36V to 48V, new Alltrax 48500 controller, new motor, 4" lift, 20" tires, rear seat the folds down into a cargo bed, and I painted it. You can most definitely make that cart bigger, stronger, faster and prettier. I bought most of the parts on Amazon, eBay and GolfCartKing.
You need to search for parts for a Marathon. The name "Freedom" refers to an option package. |

I checked Amazon and ebay and all I could find was a 4" Jake's lift. Going to look at my neighbors newer cart and see if I can modify a Jake's 6" drop spindle kit from a 94 and newer kit.
