Default EZGO 36V beeping

Trying to figure out what might be the issue for this guy.

"I have refurbished 2007 EZ-GO 36V cart for almost 4 yrs. It was purchased with new batteries. Problem I have is when I'm driving (accelerating) I get a double 'beep-beep' indicator and sometimes a single beep. I notice it when going up a hill too. I keep batteries charged and water levels full. There has been times before it would go very slow forward and then I would turn off and quickly flip REV to Neutral several times to clear controller. It would then drive good. The beeping is more frequent now but it runs."

Not used to it beeping unless it is the anti-roll feature...what could cause that to happen when cart is being driven?
