EZ Go electric only goes in reverse

I have a 1996 36 Volt EZGO TXT that has the control by the right knee, same problem only goes in reverse, when I put it in forward the and press the pedal the solenoid clicks and then the short wire that contact the control to the solenoid on the passenger side of the solenoid heats up and almost burn off. Would this still be a problem with the switch? I was going to replace the wire tonight but should I figure replacing the switch as well?

You should start your own thread but since we are here.....
You may have a series or a DCS cart. The answer will vary depending upon your drive system type. Look at this chart figure out what you have and start a new thread with the new info and somebody will help.

I got the same problem but mine is a PDS with an alltrax dcx400 controller, I created a new thread, I hope someone can guide me to troubleshoot it, thx
