Default 2009 vs 2010 EZGO RXV which to buy

Im in the market for an RXV. Around here, the 2010s are about $500 more than the 2009s..... fresh off the golf course. Are the 2010s really better? How can you tell them apart? Thanks!

Get the 2010, it has the improved motor brake. There is no standard brake drums on a RXV, it is an electric motor brake. The 08-09's have problems with the brakes locking on and locking off, both extremely bad situations.

The model number off the serial number plate will have the week and year in it I believe.

Thanks for the advice! Now that I pay closer attention, the 2010s are actually much more expensive. 2009 is $1800, 2010 is $2550. Is that motor brake something that can be changed out or is it still just better to spend that much more for a 2010? Thanks again

You can change out the motor brake assembly for around $250 ( from the dealer) or cheaper online.

I would also pay attention to the age of the batteries. Look at motors and see if there is a handle on the end. If a 2009 model has no handle then it has already been converted.
