ok, just performed a quick test...getting on my meter 38-39 volts. When I put it at full speed, the voltage dropped down to 36.

OK, so I was digging into the literature more on here trying to solve my speed problem and found another list of tests to perform. From the tests, I think I have a faulty solenoid, questionable on the throttle sensor and a definite problem with the reverse circuit. From this, I am planning to go ahead and get all new parts, but have a couple of questions. I am ordering a 36v 200 amp solenoid. My current solenoid has a diode jumper on the front smaller posts. Do I need to add one to the new solenoid? On my order, I am getting a new throttle sensor & accelerator micro switch as well as a heavy duty F&R switch since it was suggested due to adding the 400A controller. Hoping this will fix my issues....there's not much left to replace. :-) Thanks for any suggestions on the solenoid to make sure I hook it up right.

Yes you need both the diode and resistor for your new solenoid.
